He married in 1874 and was a builder so he could have worked around the

country. He died in 1938 on the I O W. However I could find no connections

for him in London. On the 1901 census return for 33, Date Street, Walworth,

I found living in one room a Willie Newnham, head of family, aged 23,

a dressmakers porter, born in Walworth, London. With him were Catherine,

wife aged 23, born in Southwark, London. William, son aged 2, born in

Blackfriars, London and Catherine, daughter aged 7 months, born in

Walworth, London. Sadly I think Catherine, junior died the

following year. At some point soon after this William travelled to

South Africa to 'make some money'.
