Sony PS3 Move PlayStation games controller

Sony fans will be flexing their credit cards to preorder the PS3 Move controller. It’s starting to show up as being available for pre-order (along with a few extra accessories). The PlayStation Move motion-sending game device will be launched in Europe on 15th September, in the US on 18th September, and in Japan on 21 October.but you might want to pre-order since Sony kind of has a habit of running out of product when they first come out.

Sony has announced the UK price of £35 for its upcoming motion-sensing controller, PlayStation Move (£32.91 from Amazon). The company has also released the price for the Move starter pack for its PlayStation 3 games console. Along with the PlayStation Eye camera and sub-controller which will be priced at £25 each. The company said that buying the sub-controller was not necessary for motion-controlled gaming, but does add an extra level of control to the experience.The PS3 Move allows you use true-to-life movements, accurately tracks your actions, and using Bluetooth relays them to the computer and then turns them into precise on screen movements.

The PlayStation Eye camera, bought separately tracks this light and relays the players' action onto the screen. The Eye can recognise multiple players at once by changing the colour of each light. The Sony Move will work with with older PS3 games and Sony have also released some dedicated titles for the new Move that includes "Ape Escape", "Sports Champions" and"SingStar Dance".

The Sony PS3 Move motion controller starter pack will be available for £50 - £10 cheaper than buying the gadgets separately. It's set to contain both the Move controller and the PlayStation Eye camera. Sony has said that the starter kit will also come with demo versions of nine PlayStation Move games, including Sports Champions, Start the Party, The Shoot and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11.

The PS3 controllers, although looking the same as the previous PS2 controllers, are actually wireless rechargeable items (the PS2 controllers were wired) using a Bluetooth wireless connection system allowing up to seven players at once per console. Due to licensing issues the DualShock rumble feature of the PS2 was not included on the PS3 at launch, although this is now a standard feature. The PSMove will give you physical feedback, like vibrations, similar to the Dual Shock controllers.

Demonstrated at the 2010 Games Developer Conference "A more precise, immersive, and responsive game experience" was the marketing mantra. Sony plans to compete against Nintendo and Microsoft by emphasising the Move's fine motor tracking capabilities. Shuehei Yoshida, Sony's president for worldwide studios, said Move will "demonstrate that the motion controller for PS3 will be the solution for both casual and hard-core gamers alike" and that the types of games Sony can create with it are "amazingly diverse." Sony has been keen to stress all along that the Move will complement existing controllers too, not replace them. The PlayStation Move will be Sony's biggest marketing push this year so be prepared for TV,retail,public relations and billboard campaigns. Amazon UK are also bundling the Sony PS3 Move controller (£32.91) with PS Move Subcontroller (£24.91) and PlayStation Move controller, Eye Camera and demo disc (£47.91) for £105.73.
